Doberman is comparatively young dog breed and its singularity consists in the fact that it was named after own creator Freidrich Louis Doberman. Breed history is interesting, fascinating and very enigmatic. The person, who had produced it, practically did not ever keep a register or a record. But, “looking into the faces of modern Dobermans it is quite reasonable to suggest that several dog breeds were used for breeding Doberman.
Freidrich Louis Doberman was born and lived in Turingia in the city Apolda. The dogs used by him during work did not meet the requirements placed on them. Doberman dreamt of middle-sized dog with smooth hair, intelligent, enduring, alert, good guard qualities capable to propagate all these qualities to its posterity.
But it is a pity that any records or some sources as for the selection: its currents, final results and dog breed involved in it.
Majority of then experts considered Doberman’s intention of personifying an ideal of working dog to be nonsense. And they did not shy to name Doberman an arrogant busher.
Present well-experienced cynonlogists claim that the breed Doberman existed before Doberman’s making it popular. However, former dogs with cropped tails and ears were known to be bred by Doberman.
