Doberman is known to be medium-sized dog. Body of males is nearly squire. Body- build is athletic and powerful. Doberman has elegant appearance. Limbs of Doberman are to be perfect, i.e. just they are responsible for a rattling good speed for running and unusually glib jump. Doberman’s constitution features well-developed skeleton and strong embossed musculature. Skin must be elastic winkle-free; be closely fitting and well-pigmented. Cranial part is strong, proportioned. It resembles a blunt taper when viewed from above. If viewed in front, cross-line of bregma must be almost horizontal wit not to go down to the ears. Being parallel elongation of the line of nasal arch, metopic line is down to the hindhead slightly rounding up. Superciliary arches are well-defined but not protruding. Inferior frontal sulcus is lightly observable. From the front and sideways side externals of the head are jowly. Little side bulge of upper jaw and jugal bones mix well with whole length of the head. Head muscles are pronounced. The bridge between forehead and muzzle is well-defined. The height at withers may be 68-72 cm in males but 63-68 cm in females. Males’ weight is 4-45 kg, females’- 32-35 kg. Departures from the standard size up to 2 cm result in leveling down exterior assessment. As a rule, hair color is dilution of black.
